An Introduction to the Puppendottir Clan of North America's Puppelachian Region

Püppendottir: A large and loosely-connected clan of small beings residing primarily in old houses and farmsteads throughout the world.
Püppen may be solitary, although this is rare. Most live in establish HouseHolds, large family groups numbering from a handful to hundreds.
All Püppen are observers and archivists by nature, so they are most at home with human HouseHolders who share similar affinities for the natural world. And toast. With butter.
Humans are generally treated with fondness, but their relationship to the Püppen is one of staff. Slap-dash, rude, or dangerous 'Sippians (human beings) may find themselves looking for a new place to live.
Püppen, like pooka, appear in myriad forms and shapes, mostly under nine inches tall. A few family groups, like the Püppendottir clan, are spotted in the wild more than some others.
These families include the Püppendottir proper, all of whom resemble Northern European tomten, and the Ouessant Family, who appear to be an especially tiny species of cross-dressing, croquet-playing sheep. Many of The Ouessant have a chenille chicken companion which may or may not have eerie and unexplained powers.
