Just Wear a Really Fabulous Hat and Carry a Pink Chicken. No One Will Notice Anything Else.

Auntie Hank, Auntie Al, and Auntie Peter, Big Sally, and Sistah Pink dressed up to go holiday shopping. Big Sally, at nearly two feet tall, is the tallest of all the Puppen, or Proper Folk. Proper Folk, often referred to as "Little People" by ill-educated human beings, tend to be less than six inches tall on average, and are generally no taller than twice that. Big Sally, however is charming, kind-hearted, and nice to have around to when you can't find the library stepladder.

An Introduction to the Puppendottir Clan of North America's Puppelachian Region

Puppendöttir: A large and loosely-connected clan of small beings residing primarily in old farmsteads wherever they are found throughout the world.
Puppen may be solitary, although this is quite rare. Most prefer to live in large disparate family groups and may number into the hundreds in a hospitable environment.
All Puppen are observers and archivists by nature, so they are most at home with Hummersippians, or 'Sippians (human householders) who have similar affinities for flora and fauna. And toast with butter.
Hummersippians are generally treated with fondness, but their relationship to the Puppen is that of household or farm staff retainers. Inattentive, dismissive, or dangerous 'Sippians may find themselves looking for a new place to live without knowing quite what happened.
Puppen, like pooka, may appear in any form and shape, but there are several family groups that are seen more commonly than others.
These families include the Puppendöttir proper, all of whom resemble Northern European tomten, and the Ouessant Family, who appear to be an especially tiny species of cross-dressing, croquet-playing sheep. Many of The Ouessant have a chenille chicken companion which may or may not have eerie and unexplained powers.
